Mike Kaufman

Throughout his many years in the world of broadcasting, Mike Kaufman has voiced thousands of commercials, presentations, and narrative pieces. As the owner and operator of MikeKaufman.com, he continues to deliver high-quality voiceover services and solutions to clients just like you.

Before establishing his internet home base as a professional voice talent, Mike’s broadcasting career began over 15 years ago in Washington, DC. In the course of that time, he has focused his skills on everything from commercial and governmental broadcast positions, to his ongoing duties at the WorldSpace Satellite Radio Network.

Mike debuted on the local DC airwaves as the morning drive co-host at WMZQ, Washington’s heritage Country outlet. From there he moved to the Voice of America, where he broadcasted live to over 800 cities in 60 countries on the immensely popular VOA Europe service. After his rewarding position with the United States Government, Mike transitioned back into the world of commercial radio by joining DC’s premier Hot Adult Contemporary station, WRQX/MIX 107.3. Over the course of his eight years at MIX, Mike hosted the weekly night show, as well as a weekend specialty program, "Retro Saturday Night", which he drove to the top of the market ratings. Mike would gain number one status again as the host of the award-winning afternoon drive show for three years.

After leaving MIX, Mike was afforded the opportunity to specialize in yet another local music format when he joined Z104, Washington’s Modern Music station.

As early as 2001, and in conjunction with his commercial duties at MIX and Z, Mike had a hand in the WorldSpace Satellite Radio Network. He worked on the air part-time for both the Radio Voyager channel as well as the U-POP channel, the latter of which continues to feature his weekend show on XM Satellite Radio across the United States. In April, 2006, Mike assumed an exciting position as the host of Radio Voyager LIVE. Originating from WorldSpace’s corporate headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, his upbeat and interactive shows are heard daily in over 130 countries worldwide. Mike is also the host of Voyager’s weekly featured program, “Timeline”, which he created in 2007 as a narrative and musical chronicle of the careers of music’s biggest stars.

With unparalleled experience that ranges a multitude of formats, styles, and backgrounds, Mike Kaufman continues a career-long dedication to professionalism and perfectionism with his voiceover services here at MikeKaufman.com.
